Ciena Corp. (CIEN) reported first quarter EPS of $0.18 Thursday morning, up from $0.12 in the previous year. Revenue rose 8.3% to $573.12 million from $529.16 million last year. The consensus estimates were for EPS of $0.14 and revenues of $576.3 million.
