Vericel Corp. (VCEL) announced Thursday morning that its Phase 2b trial of ixmyelocel-T met its primary endpoint. The treatment for patients with advanced heart failure due to ischemic dilated cardiomyopathy demonstrated a reduction in the total number of deaths, cardiovascular hospitalizations or unplanned outpatient and emergency department visits.
