Investment group to consult shareholders but yet to receive detailed proposal from Jacob Rothschild-chaired company
Alliance Trust, the investment group, has confirmed that it received an informal approach about a £5bn merger with RIT Capital Partners, which is chaired by British financier Jacob Rothschild.
