Applied Materials Inc. (AMAT) reported third quarter EPS of $0.34 after the bell Thursday, up from $0.29 a year ago. Analysts expected EPS of $0.32. Fourth quarter EPS is expected to be between $0.46 and $0.50. The consensus estimate is for EPS of $0.36.
