Frontier Communications Corp. (FTR) Tuesday reported a wider net loss for the first quarter to $186 million from $51 million in the prior year. Basic loss per share was $0.21, compared to $0.05 last year. On an adjusted basis, the company posted earnings of $14 million or $0.01.
