Stagecoach Group plc (SGC.L) reported pretax profit of 104.4 million pounds for the year ended 30 April 2016 compared to 165.2 million pounds, previous year. Profit to equity holders of the parent decreased to 97.9 million pounds from 139.3 million pounds. Earnings per share from continuing operations was 17.0 pence compared to 24.1 pence. The Group said its bus and rail businesses across the UK, mainland Europe and North America have experienced more challenging trading conditions over the last six to twelve months.
