GEO Group (GEO) Sank To A New Low After DoJ Plan To Stop Use Of Private Prisons

The U.S. Department of Justice announced Thursday that it plans to stop the use of privately operated prisons. Officials have been instructed not to renew contracts with private prisons or to diminish existing contracts. The DoJ has concluded that private prisons are less safe and less effective than those run by the government.
