The major U.S. index futures are pointing to a higher opening on Wednesday,ÿÿwith M&A news and a rebound by commodities giving a lift. Bayer confirmed its plan to snap up Monsanto and there were a couple of other deals as well. Most commodities are higher amid mixed trading in the dollar.
