Group with more than 3,500 pubs across UK approached by Heineken and Emerald Investment Partners
Punch Taverns is at the centre of a takeover battle, with Dutch brewer Heineken and one of the pub group’s founders both vying for the company.
Shares jumped more than 36% on Wednesday after Punch said it had received two competing offers.
