German conglomerate Siemens AG (SIEGY, SMAWF) reported that its second-quarter net income was almost flat with last year, at 1.483 billion euros compared to last year's 1.480 billion euros. Basic earnings per share were 1.79 euros, up from 1.78 euros last year.
