Caterpillar Inc. (CAT) reported second quarter EPS of $1.49 Tuesday morning, up from $1.09 in the prior year period. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $1.26. The company now expects to report full year adjusted EPS of about $5.00. Prior guidance had been for about $3.75. Street expectations are for EPS of $4.32.
