Wipro Q1 Profit Rises; Board Approves $1.7 Bln Share Buyback - Quick Facts

India-based software services company Wipro Ltd. (WIT) reported that its first-quarter net profit attributable to equityholders of the company increased 1.2 percent to 20.77 billion Indian rupees or $321 million from 20.52 billion rupees in the year-ago period. Earnings per share were 4.28 rupees or $0.07, compared to 4.16 rupees last year.
