Herbalife Ltd. (HLF) announced Monday morning that it has commenced a "modified Dutch auction" self-tender offer to purchase up to $600 million of shares of its common stock at a price of not less than $60.00 nor greater than $68.00. The move comes following the termination of discussions with a prospective financial investor that could have taken the company private.
