Caterpillar Inc. (CAT) reported third quarter EPS of $1.95 Tuesday morning, compared to $0.85 in the previous year. Analysts expected EPS of $1.27. The company now expects to report full year adjusted EPS of about $6.25. Prior guidance had been for adjusted EPS of about $5.00.
