Verizon Communications Inc. (VZ) reported a profit for the second-quarter 2018 that declined 5.5 percent from last year. Total consolidated revenue growth of 5.4 percent year over year, or 2.6 percent on an adjusted basis. Both adjusted earnings per share and quarterly revenues topped analysts' expectations.
