Oral Bacteria: A New Risk Factor For Esophageal Cancer?

The prevalence of esophageal cancer has dramatically increased over the past two decades. Tobacco, alcohol, obesity, diet, chemical exposure and gastroesophageal reflux disease are some of the risk factors for esophageal cancer. Now, researchers have identified yet another potential risk factor to add to the list - and that is oral bacteria.
