Square, Inc. Posts Narrower Loss In Q3; Revenue Up 32%

Square, Inc. (SQ) reported a third-quarter GAAP net loss of $32 million compared to a loss of $54 million, a year ago. Net loss per share was $0.09 for the third quarter of 2016, compared to a loss of $0.35 in the third quarter of 2015. On average, 15 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss per share of $0.11 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
