Chesapeake Energy Projects 2016 Capex To Be 57% Lower Than Last Year

While reporting its fourth-quarter financial results today, oil and gas company Chesapeake Energy Corp. (CHK) said it is budgeting total capital expenditures for fiscal 2016 of $1.3 billion to $1.8 billion. Using the midpoint of the range, this represents a 57 percent reduction from the company's 2015 total capital expenditures of $3.6 billion.
