The major U.S. index futures are pointing to a higher opening on Tuesday,ÿÿwith sentiment reflecting optimism after Markit released a report showing strengthening activity levels in the private sector of the eurozone. Most commodities are higher, although oil is coming under selling pressure, as traders continue to take profits after a 7-day rally that lasted until last Friday.
