Volkswagen Group (VKW.L, VLKAF.PK, VOW.BE) reported that its first-half profit before tax declined to 4.8 billion euros from 7.7 billion euros. Profit after tax amounted to 3.6 billion euros compared to 5.7 billion euros. Earnings per ordinary share was 6.88 euros compared to 11.06 euros. Operating profit after special items was 5.3 billion euros compared to 6.8 billion euros. Operating profit before special items increased to 7.5 billion euros from 7.0 billion euros, previous year.
