Bayer Group (BAYZF.PK, BAYRY.PK, BYR.L) reported that its second-quarter net income rose by 18.6 percent to 1.38 billion euros from 1.16 billion euros, prior year. Earnings per share was 1.67 euros compared to 1.40 euros. Core earnings per share from continuing operations advanced by 4.0 percent to 2.07 euros from 1.99 euros. Group EBITDA before special items improved by 5.7 percent to 3.05 billion euros from 2.89 billion euros.
